This project consisted of two forty-footer containers and a twenty-footer modified shipping container joined together to create a two-story hybrid Container Building Complex and featured a heavy duty staircase and overhead Colorbond Gable Roof.
The complex consisted of an open-plan restaurant and coffee station upstairs, and a bookshop and stationaries downstairs.
The building was built for Sakya Higher Education Institute, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. Established in 1999, as a secondary educational institute catering to the young individuals wanting to contribute to the growth of the country, “Sakya” is perhaps the most common name that comes to the minds of both parents and students in search of assistance in studies.
