Hybrid Sales Gallery & Office

A modern container sales gallery in Sri Lanka designed, manufactured and delivered by HCD™ Hybrid Cargotecture for Toyota Lanka in Jaffna.

This purpose-built commercial project demonstrates how a compact hybrid structure can be transformed into a premium customer-facing showroom and office with contemporary architecture, full-height glazing and integrated building services.

CLIENT Toyota Lanka
LOCATION Jaffna, Sri Lanka
PROJECT TYPE Sales Gallery & Office
CONFIGURATION 20ft Hybrid Structure

COMMERCIAL DESIGN

Designed to Attract. Built to Perform.

A sales gallery is more than an office. It is often one of the first physical interactions a customer has with a brand.

For the Toyota Lanka Jaffna project, HCD developed a strong architectural identity within a compact footprint. The dark exterior façade contrasts with expansive full-height glazing while the extended architectural canopy gives the building greater visual presence and creates a defined entrance.

Warm soffit finishes and integrated lighting soften the contemporary exterior and contribute to a premium customer-facing environment.

The result demonstrates HCD's approach to commercial container design in Sri Lanka, combining architecture, structural planning, building services and brand presentation within a purpose-built space.

PROJECT FEATURES

Fully Equipped. Ready for Business.

The Toyota Lanka Jaffna Sales Gallery was developed as a complete standalone commercial facility with the features required for everyday customer and staff use.

01

Customer-Facing Design

Full-height glazed frontage and an aluminium-framed glass entrance create an open contemporary showroom appearance.

02

Climate-Controlled Interior

The interior was developed as a fully air-conditioned commercial environment suitable for customers and staff.

03

Integrated Services

Electrical installation, interior and exterior lighting, washroom facilities and security camera provisions were incorporated.

04

Architectural Finishing

Premium internal finishes, exterior detailing and the extended roof canopy complete the commercial architectural character.

ARCHITECTURAL APPROACH

Small Footprint. Strong Brand Presence.

One of the key design objectives was to make a relatively compact commercial structure feel open, premium and visually significant.

Full-height glazing visually expands the interior while creating transparency between the sales gallery and its surroundings. It also gives the building a distinctly commercial appearance rather than allowing it to read as a conventional portable unit.

The extended roofline increases the perceived scale of the building and provides a strong horizontal architectural element. Combined with the dark exterior palette and warm detailing, it creates the appearance expected from a contemporary automotive sales environment.

This approach demonstrates how container showroom design can create a professional customer-facing location within a relatively compact building footprint.

OFF-SITE CONSTRUCTION

Built Off-Site. Delivered to Jaffna.

A significant portion of the Toyota Lanka sales gallery was completed within HCD's controlled production environment before transportation to the project location.

Controlled Production

Fabrication and finishing can be coordinated away from the final commercial location.

Reduced Site Activity

Off-site work can reduce the amount of construction activity required at the destination.

Project Coordination

Architecture, fabrication, finishes and building services can be developed as part of one coordinated process.

Final Installation

The completed commercial structure was transported to Jaffna for final project installation.

COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS

One Concept. Multiple Possibilities.

The same approach used for this Toyota Lanka project can be adapted for different customer-facing and operational requirements.

COMPLETED HCD PROJECT

Commercial Container Design for Toyota Lanka

The Toyota Lanka Jaffna Sales Gallery demonstrates how hybrid and container-based construction can be developed into a polished customer-facing commercial building.

Rather than treating the structure as a temporary unit, the project combines showroom architecture, office functionality, building services and exterior brand presence within one compact development.

It forms part of HCD's portfolio of purpose-built commercial, corporate and container showroom projects in Sri Lanka.
