The All-Electric Shipping Container Office Complex is a forward-thinking response to how Sri Lanka’s businesses can embrace sustainable, high-performance, modular workspaces.
Inspired by the global benchmark project The Box Office (Rhode Island, USA), this design transforms upcycled shipping containers into a vibrant and energy-efficient office hub - ideal for startups, corporates and creative industries seeking a modern, eco-conscious identity.
Built using 32 repurposed high-cube containers, the concept offers flexible configurations of independent offices, coworking studios and meeting pods, all within a striking architectural frame that celebrates modular geometry and industrial minimalism.
The building’s façade rhythm and stacked composition create a visually dynamic structure while maintaining practical functionality. Natural light penetrates deep into the spaces through strategically placed openings, balancing privacy and openness in an urban setting.
