Hybrid Cargotecture Development (HCD) designed and manufactured this
20 ft customized container staff facility for Celeste,
a repeat HCD client. The unit combines an office staff lunch room with
two independent washrooms within a compact and practical container-based
building.

The layout provides a dedicated staff lunch room together with two
separately accessible washrooms while maintaining a compact footprint
suitable for commercial and industrial sites.

Compact 20 Ft Staff Facility
The project demonstrates how a standard 20 ft shipping container can be
converted into a functional staff welfare facility without requiring the
space and construction period normally associated with a conventional
building.
The internal arrangement allocates approximately
14 ft of the container to the staff lunch room. The
remaining section accommodates two individual washrooms. Each washroom
has its own external entrance together with a WC, wash basin and
ventilation provision.
This arrangement allows the lunch room and sanitary areas to operate
independently while keeping all three functions within a single
transportable modular structure.
Office Staff Lunch Room
The main area of the container provides a practical lunch and break space
for office staff. The room measures approximately
14'2" × 7'4" internally and has its own external
entrance.
Two aluminium framed windows provide natural daylight and ventilation.
Electrical and lighting provisions are incorporated together with
finished internal walls, ceiling and flooring to create a comfortable
space for regular staff use.
Two Independent Staff Washrooms
One end of the container is divided into
two separately accessible washrooms. Each washroom is
approximately 5 ft wide and incorporates the essential sanitary
facilities required for staff use.

Each washroom can be accessed independently from outside the unit.
WC & Wash Basin
Individual sanitary facilities are provided within each washroom.
Natural Ventilation
Fanlights provide ventilation to the sanitary areas.
Compact Layout
The sanitary section occupies only one end of the 20 ft container.
Container Modification & Finishing
The original shipping container structure provides a strong steel shell
for the facility. HCD carries out the required structural modification,
internal partitioning, openings and finishing according to the intended
use of the building.
The completed facility incorporates internal wall and ceiling finishes,
flooring, aluminium openings, electrical and lighting provisions,
plumbing and sanitary installations together with exterior preparation
and protective finishing.
The exterior retains the recognizable corrugated steel profile of the
shipping container with a clean dark finish suited to a commercial or
industrial environment.
Another Project for a Repeat HCD Client
This facility was manufactured for Celeste, an existing
HCD client. Repeat projects allow us to continue supporting clients as
their operational requirements change and additional working, welfare or
support spaces are required.
Container-based construction is particularly useful for these
applications because additional facilities can be introduced without
undertaking a large conventional building project.
