Nestled in the forests of La Primavera, Mexico, the original Huiini House by S+ Diseño redefined simplicity and sustainable living. Designed for a retired homeowner who desired peace and clarity, the home’s “stacked box” form became an architectural statement - calm, structured, and intimately connected with nature.

Inspired by this globally admired project, Hybrid Cargotecture Development (HCD) introduces a Sri Lankan adaptation of the Huiini-Inspired 2 Bedroom Container Retreat - a minimal, elegant hybrid home crafted for tropical comfort, fast delivery, and lasting beauty.

Architectural Character

Composed of four repurposed 40-ft high cube containers, the home’s design layers two containers above two, offset to create shaded terraces and natural cross ventilation. Inside, the open layout merges the living, dining, and kitchen areas into a continuous, airy volume. The upper level includes a guest suite, studio space, and a private balcony ideal for quiet mornings or sunset views.

Every inch of the structure reflects balance - from its geometric precision to the way light filters through large glazed openings. Compact yet generous, it transforms modular form into a tranquil modern home.
